Pictures of Dog
Dogs get photographed on the move, so this wall is mostly outdoors — mid-stride on a walk, ears up at a sound, water and dirt and a tongue out. Short shutter, plenty of frames, keep the ones where the eyes are sharp.
Mid-walk, mid-stride
The frame that works is usually the one right before or after the push-off. Following at the dog's height keeps the horizon out of the ears.
Ears, tongue, and motion
Ears and tail carry the mood more than the mouth does. A little motion blur in the legs reads as speed; blur in the eyes just reads as a miss.
Water, grass, and mud
Outdoor light is harsh at noon and kind in the last hour. Wet coats go darker and shinier, which changes exposure more than people expect.
